How did it get to 3rd Aug already? It’s only been 3 days but seems like ages since I listed my last fashionista card. I’m missing the July Jesters and as I don’t have time to make 31 completely new items and list them all in August I thought I’d do a quick round up of last month and showcase a few of my fave jesters to start with:
Imogen’s Imagination – what can I say? I just loooooove hats, I had a whole hat wall in our old flat! My fave item is this fab mini top hat in my fave colour combination…
Adien Crafts – this has a real ‘traditional’ feel to it which I love. The ‘I love shoes fabric heart’ caught my eye, doesn’t take a genius to know why…
Lemonade and Lamingtons – This shop has some amazing jewellery and fab knitted items, these gloves are on my wish list for autumn! I’d just like to send my thoughts and hugs to Lisa who’s son had an accident in Austria, hope you all return home well and safe…
Little Red Star - This is a fabulous kitsch shop, and as a girl of the 80s this brings back some childhood memories! This is one of my fave items as jelly babies remind me of the first conversation I had with my boyfriend
HWR Designs – If you’re looking for gifts for the home or fantastic upcycled items this is the place to go. This bag retro bag is tempting me…
That’s it for now as I’ve got another busy week ahead and I need sleep, there are too many fab jesters for me to stop there so watch this space for more jesters in the coming days…

The knock on effect of my sugars going low yesterday is that they are sky high today, and I’m really struggling to concentrate, feel sick and generally eugh! But I did manage to list my superstar card today, and it has already sold to Natalie Ofkants
so the day gradually began to improve, and got even better when I got my 50s prom dress that I ordered from ebay
which is fab! So, incase you hadn’t guessed, today’s theme is the 50s taken from several folksy sellers, including some fellow jesters:
Deluxe delights - Retro telephone pin (I have a passion for most things vintage or retro, but my fave era is the 50s, followed by the 20s in close second!)
Fluffs Stuffs – 50s girl brooch (how adorable, love this illustration style)
Fashion couture – 50s vest dress (if I had any spare money this would be in my wardrobe now)
Bee brady photography – Dancers print (can just imagine the 50s and everyone jiving round the dance floor)
The crafty bride – Black boa/scarf (this would be fab with my new dress)
Lazy giraffe - Moonlit earrings (another perfect accessory for my dress, bring on payday)
Ickle Imogen -Nautical veil combs (these are fab, and for some reason remind me of the 50s)
I’d also like to say a big thanks to all those that featured me on their Folksy Fridays – Fairly Girly, starsNscars (hope you feel better soon hun,) Mirribeads, and Whimsical Wren.
Off to have a chilled evening ahead of the 1234 Shoreditch Festival tomorrow

We’re 2/3 way through – just over a week to go! I’m glad I’ve got a few listings in hand which is good, especially as I’ve had a bad day today… Started off frustrating as I couldn’t get on the Folksy forums to promote today’s birthday garden card, then rushed to work but my blood sugar was low so I fainted on poor Laura as I walked through the door! I’m lucky Dan came to take me home and I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. Things momentarily picked up when I turned my laptop on to 2 sales and a request for a red version of my green dragon (which I have just sold to Jennie aka Whimsical Wren) but then got a message from a customer (luckily someone I know) to say an order I posted them was underpaid by 10p despite me checking with the post office what postage I needed!! Royal Mail really annoys me, there’s not really an alternative without it costing the earth, but their incompetence may put off customers if they need to pay for extra postage… grrrrr
So to make up for my bad day today’s theme is just things that make me smile
Clare bears – Stripey sock bear (could do with a cuddle from this cutie today)
Imogen’s imagination – Mini top hat (I definitely have a hat obsession, and if I wore this I wouldn’t be able to do anything but smile)
Pants and paper – Wedding ring holder (one day… I will be a bride, and a very happy bride – hint hint)
Carols crafts – Rainbow beads (so colourful they just make me smile)
The sequinned sheep – Flower hair elastic (my favourite colour with a bit of sparkle too)
Cheery mish mash – Black vampire bag (this is so cuet and cheeky, how can you resist smiling??)
Laura’s little lovelies – Love red earrings (awww, romance
reminds me of my gorgeous boyfriend who always makes me smile!)
Have a good evening everyone, I’m off to relax…

Well it’s been a few days since I blogged! I have just about managed to list an item everyday as part of the Folksy July Jesters despite working looooong hours for a presentation last Friday, and another today – and that was with both of them going well, dread to think what hours I would have worked had they gone badly and required lots of changes. So, this is a quick catch up on my listings over the past few days – garden cards x2, dragon hug card, clown card… and a few picks from my fellow July Jesters, the theme today is my presentation:
Kettle of fish – Lovely cuppa brooch (this feels very ‘English’ which is a big part of our original brief – what’s more English than a cup of tea? Love the illustration style of this)
Whimsical Wren – Dragonfly necklace (this would fit amazingly well in our client’s range for autumn/winter, love it)
Diomo glass – Bunny sun catcher (there a distinctly woodland/garden theme for the concept – this is one of my fave Folksy shops, still deciding which sun catcher to buy but I think it might have to be a bunny)
Maxine Veronica – Charm bracelet (I could see this sitting perfectly well in my client’s range, especially the autumn collection)
Fairly Girly – Rock ‘n Roll necklace (our presentations went really well, and our client thinks we rock at the moment – lets hope it stays that way! Once again, another one of my fave Folksy sellers)
Really is time for bed now before I fall asleep at my desk. Goodnight.

Phew, I’m glad it’s the weekend and my presentation went well yesterday. It’s been a big challenge listing everyday this month, but I managed to get my personalised wedding invites listed yesterday, and my robot dance t-shirt today, but I’m a bit disappointed I missed doing my daily blog yesterday – I’ve been working really late hours all week for yesterday’s presentation and practically fell asleep walking through the door when I got home last night! So here is my late Folksy Friday taken from the July Jesters items listed yesterday and today, with the theme of gardens because this was key to the concept I’ve been working on all week:
Booties by dannie – Flower pin cushion (gorgeous colour, simple and strong design, wish these grew in the garden)
Infiniti jewellery – Pink rose earrings (very pretty, and reminds me of my granddad’s garden, he’s obsessed with growing roses)
Just k jewellery and gifts – Little kittens pendant (can imagine these cuties playing amongst the flowers and pots in the garden)
Lonely hearts – Daydream shoulder bag (this reminds me of a typical English cottage garden)
Moody cow designs – Rose glasses case (My granddad would love to cut these out and put them in his garden, such strong colours)
Mildunkley beads – Summer blossom necklace (This is gorgeous, if I had an outfit to match I’d buy it now)
Ickle Imogen – Vintage style flower hairclips (Pansies remind me of my grandma’s fave flowers, love the subtlety of the colour of these)
Also, a big thanks to everyone who featured me on their blogs yesterday – made with love x, iyobo design, and blue forest jewellery.
Time to go and do some more Folksy listings as we have a ‘quiet’ weekend to ourselves for once.

Just finished work (after 11.30pm,) ideally should do some more but as I have to be in early tomorrow and I got up earlier today to list my ‘hero t-shirt’, I decided a good night’s sleep would probably be best! But it also means that today is a very short post as I am shattered and as it’s nearly midnight I’d better type fast. My top picks today are just a couple of things that caught my eye in my quick flick through today’s listings…
Poppyfields design – Twisted vine wirework necklace (our concept for tomorrow’s presentation has a ‘woodland’ feel to it and this caught my eye and reminded me of some of the images we’ve been using for inspiration)
Whimsical wren jewellery – Vintage french advert locket (well you should know my love of vintage by now, and my boyfriend grew up in France so this is today’s cheer up piece)
Short and sweet but time for bed now… sleep well, I’ll be back with a Folksy Friday tomorrow after my presentation.

Yay, finally half way through the week! It’s been a busy one so far as expected, but it may be slowly improving and if not at least it’s getting nearer the weekend. Today’s listing from me was something a bit different, after listing 58 cards in my shop I thought I’d take the leap and start adding my new range of children’s t-shirts which all started after doing some baby grows for our friend’s daughter Tilly. Any feedback on my new products would be great as I’m a ‘newbie’ to children’s clothes! So that brings me to today’s picks which are items that remind me of my childhood:
Great Green Ltd – Hearts coatpeg (awww this reminds me of the fabulous coat hooks at school we could barely reach at 4years old)
Clarebears – Striped sockbear (I still have a bedroom full of cuddly toys from my childhood which he could quite easily sneak into)
Maxine Veronica – Pink and blue glass bangle (I had one just like this that I loved, hmmm no idea where that went)
Molly Moo and Jessica Too – Cuddle me monster (such a cheeky face, she would look gorgeous in my collection)
Swirlyarts – Recycled gift tags (the horses remind me of many a day spent riding over the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside)
Time for me to go and finish some work I brought home, but first I must say a very happy birthday to Vicky today!

Lucky or unlucky 13? I think it’s unlucky for me at the moment… I’ve been in a London (again) a year this month, which was a move I wasn’t too keen on at the time to be honest, but once Dan joined me down here I felt better. That said, I’m feeling a bit down at the moment and really missing ‘home’ – I want to be able to see my friends and family easily, and just go for a walk in the pennines if I want to and not be bashed about by rude and ignorant commuters on a twice daily basis! I could just do what my boss does and skateboard in, but it’s a long way from South West to North East London, even if it was the inspiration for today’s skateboard card. Speaking of today’s listings, I’ve decided that REM always cheer me up (ironic I know) so today’s theme is REM lyrics… read on to find out why I’ve chosen the above jesters:
SLC – Orange bold fascinator (can’t beat good headwear…’who are you going to call for, what do you have to say, keep your hat on your head, home is a long way away’)
Diomo Glass – Sheep sun catcher (I’m trying to list new people each day but I just love Diomo’s sun catchers I can’t stop blogging them… one of my all time fave lyrics ‘ I was brought into this life a little lamb, courageous stumbling, fearless was my middle name…’)
Melaniezine – White flower buttons (what can I say – there’s nothing like a white flower (rose) to remind me of Yorkshire… ‘a public service announcement followed me home the other day’)
Damselfly Gemma – Star chain necklace (this is so cute… ‘you’re gonna be a star’)
Pipistrelle - Ice blue scarf (has to be my fave colour, might be needing this now the sun has gone… ‘it’s hard to focus on more than what’s in front of you, electron blue’)
Awww, a good cup of Betty’s peppermint tea and a hug always cheers me up – off to enjoy some of my evening now.

Monday mornings seem to come round too quickly! I just about made it out in time for work this morning after listing today’s birthday present card to find severe delays on the northern line… after I waited for 5 trains to go I eventually got on to just about every single delay possible and was a bit late for work. Today was not a good Monday, stressing about a few things and feeling a bit blue, so you guessed it – today’s theme is all things blue from my fellow jesters:
Anna Clifton jewellery – Recycled carrier bag pendant (if I’d been wearing this today it would have made me smile)
Carols crafts – Blue retro cufflinks (I love almost anything retro and vintage)
The crafty bride – Baby blue boa (if only I were going somewhere glam to wear this)
Clairez cardz – Boys birthday card (awww how cute, hearing the steam trains near home would cheer me up right now, missing home/Yorkshire)
BedazzlEm by Emma – True blue heart earrings (these are so cute and tranquil)
But time to do a bit of sketching now before bed…

It’s been a great relaxing weekend and was great to catch up with friends both old and new, even if I’ve not had as much time as I’d hoped for creative things, I didn’t actually get to take photos of all this week’s listings but at least I got them made. My listing today was an anniversary card after a request from a friend yesterday, and as it’s good to have friends join us rather than having to travel out of London at the weekend today’s picks are items I would buy for my friends:
Cherrymishmash – Dip tie-dye t-shirt (if this was available in adult sizes it would be perfect for my boyfriend who spent all of yesterday crawling round fields at warfighters)
Emlett arts & crafts – Oak stool (I’d get this gooooorgeous stool for Vicks who has just moved into her new house, and has her own garden)
Nofkants curios – Heart keyring (this would make a perfect pressie for my god-daughter’s mum Ewa, when we stay with her in Poland next month)
Pavlova – Wall tile secrets (this reminds me of visiting my dear friend Jane at her cottage, if the walls could talk they’d have some secrets to tell!)
Laura’s jewellery - Love the rain necklace (for my great friend El who lives in Edinburgh, need I say more about the rain?)
Time for some relaxation before bed, and another busy working week ahead.
