Following the closing ceremony for London 2012 last weekend and my Olympic withdrawal symptoms today’s top picks are all based on musical lyrics, as I choose what to listen on the way up North tonight:
Vintage Designs Reborn – Beatles song pillow cover (feeling very proud to be British)
Geezees Custom Canvas – Custom lyrics artwork (this was our first dance at our wedding!)
August Park – Typographic Art Print (love the typography combination of this print)
Have a great weekend, hope it involves lots of great music to fill the Olympic void!

Well it doesn’t happen all that often so today’s picks have to be about Fri 13th, whether you’re superstitious or not these finds from Luulla are good enough to buy any day of the week:
Fairies sweet and fairies sour – Moonlight hijinks (Don’t let a black cat cross your path)
Black mud studio – Four leaf clover button (Could do with a four leaf clover today as we’re hoping for some good luck!)
Sparkle Thots – Star earrings (Thank our lucky stars it’s Friday)
Oh, and I think that all good things come in threes…

It’s been a week of various bits and pieces, and I don’t seem to have been able to stick to one thing so I’m going to share some of my bright bunting which has been made over the last few weeks to bring some bright colours and cheer to the wet and wintry weather this June. If it weren’t for the fact the days are staying lighter for longer you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s November!

Well, incase you’ve missed it… it’s the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend, which not only means 2 extra days to add to the weekend, but time for celebrations. We are hoping to see the flotilla on the Thames but given the look of the weather I’m not too sure whether we’ll make it or not, especially with me still on crutches. In the meantime I have been making lots of red, white and blue things which is also apt for the soon to be Olympics. Above are some of my faves for supporting the very British celebrations for the Jubilee and also for several countries in the Olympics.
Have a fab Sunday wherever you are.

With the sunny weather comes the sunglasses, topless men and barbecues on offer in the shops! So, we made the most of one of those and bought a bbq (the way to make my husband happy) which resulted in some yummy food last night, and no doubt some more this weekend and maybe even some toasted marshmallows. As my latest sales have all been on Luulla (I’m hoping to get to double figures soon) today’s picks are some of the best marshmallows on there:
The Realist Mermaid – Pink marshmallow (yummy is all I have to say)
Zukr Boutique - Elderflower marshmallow (a truly summery flavour)
Cloud Nine Fragrances – Toasted marshmallow fragrance oil (what a smell to wake up to)
Off to enjoy the sunshine in the garden whilst it lasts, have a great weekend whatever your plans.

Friday’s are my dedicated days to finding and showcasing some of my fave handmade items and sellers, and today I’ve chosen Luulla to find my top 3. My bones are aching like mad today, and as my consultant told me I had the bones of an 80 year old I thought I’d choose vintage items:
English shop – Vintage British clock (this gorgeous clock reminds me of my grandad and I can picture it on his sideboard when I was little)
Antica treasures – La Luna Vintage scarf (this is just so pretty)
Paprika Rose – Little Prudy’s story book (nothing like a good book, especially if it’s vintage)
Have a great weekend

I’ve sold a few bibs recently through custom requests, although worryingly some haven’t arrived yet, gotta love the post office! But there have been a few people asking if I can add some more unisex ones so here are a few of the latest designs, admittedly not all the pictured ones are unisex. Keep an eye on my etsy and luulla shops as they make their way into them soon.

This week has definitely had it’s ups and downs, with plenty of hospital appointments along the way, luckily I’ve also had some creative times off set the trips to hospital. Most of my creativeness this week has been inspired by my mother-in-law’s fab cushions that are now featuring in my folksy and luula shops. So, you guessed it here are some of my latest cushions and it’s great to be creating ‘art’ with the sewing machine again. Watch this space for more making their way into my luulla and etsy shops soon.

This is dedicated to my fabulous hubby today, but rather than go for the usual pink and red hearts I’ve chosen my fave apple items from my fave handmade shops luulla, folksy and etsy:
Ayarina – Green apple clay buttons (I have a growing collection of buttons and these would fit in nicely)
Woolly duck – Felt green apple (this looks good enough to eat)
Sketch Inc - Geometric brooch (love the combination of organically shaped apple with geometric pattern)
Off to spend time with my husband, the apple of my eye! Happy Valentine’s Day

As I’m in Florida at the moment, it involves lots of fresh fruit… yummy! I’m going to choose my favourite item from the 3 handmade sites I sell on throughout this week to keep you entertained whilst I’m away, and the first theme is fruit…
Soap much love – Strawberry spice soap (mmmmm… I can almost smell this through my screen!)
Henrietta and Morty – Pineapple cushion (This would brighten any home and leave your mouth watering)
Skull and cross buns – Apple stamp (this is one of my absolute fave shops, and I’d buy everything in it if I could)
Have a good weekend
