I was really excited about being involved in the big blog card swap organised by Naomi and Sarah, and pleasantly surprised when I received this card from Naomi after totally forgetting about it! Luckily it arrived the day before the deadline to post mine, and prompted me to put my celebration card in the post box to Kellie in Belfast!
Thanks to Naomi and Sarah, can’t wait to see all the other cards swapped

Well I’m a bit disappointed yesterday was the first day I missed adding my faves from the Folksy Foolers, but I was working late with work and everything was going wrong… but I’m back! Today’s listing was another card featuring Freddie, this time my ‘thumbs up’ card perfect for a thank you card. My Bessie range seem to get less views on Folksy so I think they’re less popular than anonymity even though they take more time.
Anyway, as it’s nearly Saturday I’d better list today’s Folsky faves (the theme is things that remind me of home as I have just arrived back at my parents)…
Ticketty boo – Birdie applique cushion (This is sooo adorable, very homely)
Rosie plumpton – Mario mushrooms (These are so cute, and remind me of many a day my brother and I would play on Mario Bros on the gameboy when we were little)
Pants and paper – Brooch (The cutest house I’ve seen today)
One last quick mention before I go to bed to say thanks to Mums4beads for letting me reserve my purchase as I was on a train with sporadic wifi which wouldn’t stay connected long enough to buy – glad to say the crisis was averted and I’ve just purchased some gorgeous beads before she closes her shop tomorrow. Mi Mi’s jewellery shop is still open, so check it out.
But for now time for me to check out, until tomorrow.

It wasn’t until I got a text from my family in Poland that I found out the Polish President Lech Kaczinsky has died in a plane crash in Russia, but what is more shocking is that he was travelling with Poland’s army chief, central bank governor, MPs and leading historians! Not sure what else to say, it’s a major incident for Poland…

Good morning all, the sun is shining and the birds are tweeting so that must mean one thing… time to venture up to Wimbledon common for a picnic.
It always makes me smile on days like this, so my ‘get well card’ for today is hopefully going to raise some smiles and money for Macmillan Cancer Care via Kaz (Buteartism) on Folksy.
Time to go and enjoy the sun whilst it lasts, I will be back later with some more of my faves from day 10… Have a great weekend everyone
