Elephantastic!
When we ventured into the centre of London today to meet friends in the rain we weren’t expecting to be cheered up by so many bright elephants! If you’re in London before 29 June then you’re bound to bump into 1 of the 250 decorated model elephants in the Elephant Parade.
I have memories of seeing my first shop design come to life in Prague with my mum and god-mother, and we used the decorated cows there to guide ourselves round the city, it helped us realise we had actually been going round in circles past the ballet cow, but for me these elephants are much cuter and the designs are amazing (one of my fave lyrics which always makes me smile and reminds me of my friend Claire is ‘I’m pushing an elephant up the stairs’ – from my fave band REM) … above are some of my faves
These elephants cheered me up so much that the first three people to post a comment along with a chosen name for one of the elephants will get a free card of their choice from my Folksy shop.
Have a great evening
xx

They were out and about but maybe not where you were, or you missed them in the search for a tea strainer
We saw these ones mainly near Tower Bridge…

They’re great aren’t they? Where did you see them? I haven’t seen any others but I work in the East End and they’re probably all West…
