Back on my feet
Anyone following my blog will know that I am recovering from major surgery including breaking my femur and removing an inch of bone to eliminate my leg length difference. This will hopefully allow me to walk ‘normally’ over time and not have to wear orthotics or have the right heel of all my shoes built up. To celebrate this, and the fact that over 4 months after my surgery I am beginning to get out of the flat a bit, even if it still involves 2 crutches I ventured into Wimbledon village at the weekend. My poor husband may not share my celebrations though as our Saturday involved him taking me shopping to incorporate my daily walk – well I’ve not been shopping for over 4 months!! Apart from buying a dress for my friend’s party the week before mine it also involved buying these gorgeous red patent shoes from Hobbs, which are the only pair of shoes I own at the moment that have heels the same height.
