#Blogboost 8 – Luulla

As I’m having a blue day today I couldn’t help browsing Luulla’s fab shops to cheer me up so here are some more of my faves from the supplies category as my mind wonders off to a happy creative place:

Ayarina - Ninja turtle buttons (I’m always up for customising clothes, and these would be perfect on my hubby’s coat – whether he would agree is another matter)

Kitties Closet – Stitched wool felt flowers (I wouldn’t change anything about our handmade wedding but these flowers would have saved me hours of cutting, worth considering if planning your own handmade flowers)

Sweetest Charms – Gingerbread Cabochon (These are so cute, and I don’t know what it is about gingerbread men but they always make me smile)

Better go and create now so I don’t spend more money on supplies until I’ve used at least some of my existing stash!

Showcase Sunday – Laura’s Little Lovelies

There’s nothing like a bit of alliteration on a Sunday afternoon! Today I decided to features Laura’s Little Lovelies as my Folksy showcase for 3 reasons:

1. Her jewellery is amazingly pretty :) I especially like the swooping swallow earrings, pink flower bracelet, and felt corsage brooch.

2. I’ve been tweeting to Laura on twitter, and she always makes me smile

3. She’s in Yorkshire

Please check out her Folsky shop and take the sales fairy with you… enjoy the rest of the weekend, I’m nearly in Leeds now via Poland and London!

July Jesters – Day 2

As I’m on a train back ‘home’to my cousin’s birthday at the races (today’s Folksy listing inspiration) I thought I’d use that as today’s theme… Our train is delayed because of damage to overhead lines so I’ve got plenty of time to look through today’s items and choose a few:

Lemonade and lamingtons – Dragonfly bookmark (plenty of time on our dealyed journey to read a book)

Made by lolly - Lovebird wall art (am travelling with my boyfriend, and this is so striking I had to include it – gorgeous)

Pants and paper – Purse (would love a cute purse like this for the part refund I’ll get for my delayed train, and always good to see fellow April Foolers still listing)

Mushy… makes – Button brooch (just because it’s cute and made me smile, which is a good thing on this journey)

LondonFogg – Clock hand necklace (if only I could turn the clocks forward and be home already – this item is on my wishlist for a client meeting)

Hopefully we’ll be home soon as it’s been a loooong day!

July Jesters

No I’m not jesting with you… I am actually listing an item everyday through July in my Folksy shop as part of the July Jesters group, I must be mad! Having done the April Foolers listings I decided it was too much of a challenge to list an item everyday as well as blog nearly everyday in May and June… then July came along and I decided I need to get more visits from the sales fairy, and more views to my website so it’s got to be worth a try.  It also gives me the opportunity to look at the other wonderful Folksy shops, and dedicate more time to my cards (not an easy task with a busy full-time job.)

Off to do tomorrow’s entry now – good luck everyone, see you in July!

Edible Art!

We stumbled upon the chocolate festival by the Royal Festival Hall in London yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise! There were some fabulous and tempting but expensive stalls but the star of the show for me was this fantastic Alice in Wonderland chocolate sculpture… the only problem I’d have is that I wouldn’t want to eat it!

Easter is nearly here!

I have added a couple of Easter cards to my anonymity range, available to buy on Folksy

The first was inspired at the weekend by the first signs on spring – amongst the cool and crisp morning, and blue sky were some daffodils which caught my eye in the garden as we came back from a wedding!  The second was for my god-daughter, and the Easter egg hunts that have been taking place for many children recently.

So enjoy, and as always any feedback is welcome through my website and through my shop on Folksy!

No accident…

‘Art doesn’t just happen by accident. It is about pulling out new tricks and trying new things’ - Nicholas Meyer

My art, and even this website, may not have happened by accident but it all started with one…

As the name suggests, I’m very accident prone and the idea of a website to share information about not only my own but other art, design, illustration, craft, and general creativity came about when I broke my hip and shattered my femur and had plenty of time to fill many a sketchbook with ideas, doodles and moments of insanity!

This website is my attempt at pulling out new tricks and trying new things to keep engaged with the creative world around us and hopefully inspire others to appreciate design.
