I’m still amazed by the amount of talented people that I find in my everyday creative life, from friends and family to complete strangers, many of whom are now friends. Hence, me deciding that Tuesdays will be the days to shout about them! I’m going to start of with Julie from Moaning Minnie, for many reasons but here are my top 3:
- She’s originally from my hometown in Yorkshire
- She makes the most amazing hats in my size (I normally have to buy children’s sizes)
- I got 3 of her hats (above) for my birthday from my friend and hubby, and I love them all – they’re so unique!
Please take a look at her etsy shop and you won’t be disappointed.

After my week in the sun it’s time to get back to blogging, so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to showcase a fab Folksy shop. It was easy to choose Imogen’s Imagination this week as not only is she making my fab wedding fascinators but I loooooove hats (hence the wedding request for all our guests to wear a form of headwear.) I have been speaking to Sophie about mine and my bridesmaids fascinators and she has been incredibly helpful and I can’t wait to see the mock-ups. I definitely recommend visiting this fab shop before I buy it out myself!

It’s been a while since I wrote a blog, but things have been so manic with work and all my creative projects on the go at the moment that I have hardly turned on the computer! I’m working on lots of exciting things including preparing for my craft fair which has now been postponed to 18th Dec due to the snow, filling my sketchbook for the sketchbook project that needs posting in less than a month (!) and of course continuing to make new items for my folksy shop, some of my faves being my new Christmas decorations, santa bag and desktop calendar. So, I think I have surprised even myself by deciding to join in with the December listing club on Folksy this month by listing an items every day. I am in good company though, and here are some of my favourite hats to wrap up warm in for Christmas from fellow elves:
Hats and more – hand crochet hat (how cosy does that look!)
Nofkants curios – santa hat scarf (this just made me smile, which I needed today)
Imogen’s imagination – grey wool beret (my new fave hat style is the beret which I never really wore until a friend bought me one and now I can’t get enough)
Uniquely yours – cafetiere cosy (a hat for your cafetiere, or maybe more a scarf but everything needs a hat)
But time for bed now, a long weekend of crafting for my fair ahead.
Xx
