Friday Faves – Lyrics

Following the closing ceremony for London 2012 last weekend and my Olympic withdrawal symptoms today’s top picks are all based on musical lyrics, as I choose what to listen on the way up North tonight:

Vintage Designs Reborn – Beatles song pillow cover (feeling very proud to be British)

Geezees Custom Canvas – Custom lyrics artwork (this was our first dance at our wedding!)

August Park –  Typographic Art Print (love the typography combination of this print)

Have a great weekend, hope it involves lots of great music to fill the Olympic void!

Friday Faves

Friday’s are my dedicated days to finding and showcasing some of my fave handmade items and sellers, and today I’ve chosen Luulla to find my top 3. My bones are aching like mad today, and as my consultant told me I had the bones of an 80 year old I thought I’d choose vintage items:

English shop – Vintage British clock (this gorgeous clock reminds me of my grandad and I can picture it on his sideboard when I was little)

Antica treasures – La Luna Vintage scarf (this is just so pretty)

Paprika Rose – Little Prudy’s story book (nothing like a good book, especially if it’s vintage)

Have a great weekend

Floridian Fruit

As I’m in Florida at the moment, it involves lots of fresh fruit… yummy! I’m going to choose my favourite item from the 3 handmade sites I sell on throughout this week to keep you entertained whilst I’m away, and the first theme is fruit…

Soap much love – Strawberry spice soap (mmmmm… I can almost smell this through my screen!)

Henrietta and Morty – Pineapple cushion (This would brighten any home and leave your mouth watering)

Skull and cross buns – Apple stamp (this is one of my absolute fave shops, and I’d buy everything in it if I could)

Have a good weekend :)

#Blogboost 24 – Luulla

After adding some Valentines cards to my Luulla shop I decided to choose some of today’s faves from papercraft, and as this has to be one of my top topics it has taken a while to choose just a few:

My Paper Crafting – Love you card (as you will know by now I love patterns and textiles, and this is a great combination)

UltramarineSTARS – Triangle eye care notebooks (These are just adorable, I wouldn’t say no to these as a Valentine’s gift… hint hint)

Caroline Rose Art – Valentine’s hearts card (Love the idea of this card, pretty in pink)

Little black heart – Blue bird greeting card (I’m not a pink fan so it’s great to see an alternative Valentine’s card)

Sab Sab world greeting cards – Every day I love you more card (This just makes me smile, and is too true)

I’m feeling motivated to go and work on one of my illustrations now, it’s been a while since I’ve had inspiration for sketching other than my sketchbook project.

If you’re looking for Valentine’s cards then please consider buying handmade!

#Blogboost 16 – Luulla

Another down day today, so I’ve chosen my Luulla faves from bags and purses as I’m convinced my luck is due to change and I will need something to keep my long awaited lottery win in… must remember to buy a ticket!

My lovely sunshine – Green flowers with gray shoulder bag (this would be fab for work, now don’t tempt me!!)

Oh sweet bag of mine - Oilcloth lunch bag – folk flowers (I could do with one of these as my husband is making my lunch before he goes to work as I can’t carry anything and am struggling to get around)

Merah Muda – Mini tote, owl love (adorable and in my fave colour)

Off to do some of my own sewing now in the hope I can generate some sales.

#Blogboost 12 – Luulla

As it’s another hydro day today, always rewarding but hard work although I do get to have a shower without having to jump, hop and twist to get in and there’s a seat to sit on, today’s Luulla choices are from candles and soaps:

The Marula Tree Soap Co – Sweet orange soap (I can’t smell this through my laptop but it looks scrumptious)

Bale and twine – Peppermint Eucalyptus soy candle (this has to be one of my favourite scents for a candle, and how cute is the jar)

Cahoots soap – Mango shea butter soap pop (these are so fun, and would make perfect party or wedding favours)

Better go and get myself ready for the last hydro session of the week.

#Blogboost 10 – Luulla

Nothing like looking through the Luulla shops to make me smile, so no surprise that I couldn’t wait to find more of my fave seller to feature. Although, jewellery had to be one of the hardest to choose from as not only are there so many in this category but I found so many that I liked, after some time I narrowed it down to these 3:

HuiyiTan – snowflake earrings (given the current weather, there’s no doubting it’s winter but these earrings would brighten up any day)

Kaori Kaori – Ruby red vintage glass earrings (I love the simplicity of these, and they remind me of my dear friend Jane)

Maria Goti – Sterling silver butterfly earrings (these are just beautiful, and def on my wishlist)

Time now to go and finish scanning in my sketchbook project, so watch this space!

#Blogboost 9 – Luulla

It’s another Luulla day today, and I’m struggling to choose my categories nevermind my top 3 shops from them, but after much deliberation here are my fave 3 sellers form the crochet and knitting section after getting a fab knitted jumper from my grandma:

Mary Jane’s Tearoom – Anika and Bo PDF pattern (It’s a good job I’m not an advanced knitter or I would have bought many a pattern by now, this is too cute)

Pernicketys Knit – snow flurries (anyone who reads my blog will know by now that I love a good hat but a good hat showcased on a cute baby is even more adorable)

Shazzas Knits – owl teacosy (I love a good cup of Betty’s peppermint tea in my little teapot, but it would be even better with this teacosy)

Have a good day.

#Blogboost 7 – Luulla

I can’t believe Monday has come round again already, and I have to admit today isn’t a particularly good day so my fave Luulla choices today are from handmade dolls and miniatures as they’re so cute they cannot help but make me smile:

Gingermelon – Little Ellie pattern (Today is not a good day to be finding adorable patterns as I have to restrain myself from buying them all to cheer myself up as there is not enough time in the day!)

Pei Li Miniatures – Miniature sweet cake pops (I never had a dollshouse but still want one if we ever have the space, and am still amazed by the amount of detail that can be achieved at such a small scale – this cheers me up everytime I look at it)

Rodica – Little clay house (One of the reason I’m feeling down today is because we are dreaming of our circumstances changing, there being less obstacles in our way and being able to own our own home one day, but this is one little house that makes me smile)

Off to be creative to cheer myself up.

#Blogboost 6 – Luulla

As our plan is to have a relaxed Sunday (ok, so most of my days could be considered that at the moment as I can’t get out of the house very easily on my crutches) today’s Luulla faves are from Bath and Beauty:

Simplicity cosmetics – Vegan tinted lipbalm (I’m all for any cosmetics that use more natural ingredients so this is def on my ‘to-trylist)

Soap Much Love – Valentine Popsicle Soap (Yes, Christmas is only just over but Valentines Day is not far away and this would be the perfect unique gift)

Angel – Gingerbread Cookie Sugar Cubes (These look good enough to eat, so they’d def be good enough for pampering)

If I had a bath that I could get in or even a bath for that matter then today would definitely be a good day for a nice soak but as I don’t it’s time to try and hop into the shower.

Have a good Sunday
