Accidental Vix

Well, I’ve done it… Plucked up the courage to list my baby booties, and the stock that I currently have is now officially for sale on Folksy and a few on Etsy! I know it’s taken me a while but I was hoping for more of my feedback forms to have been sent back by now, but based on the feedback so far this is my new range in time for Christmas. Please feel free to contact me if there are any custom requests (already had a fab request for elf shoes.) I’m happy to make to specific size requirements or if you have seen a particular fabric in a different size please just message me.

As I can’t use the sewing machine until my hip is much better I’m off to do some sewing and planning the next sewn challenges. Have a great weekend, especially if you are at any Christmas markets/fairs.

Well my final free little baby booties have gone out, and all I’m waiting for  now is the feedback forms which I’m hoping will be as positive as the first! I must admit I’m all shoed out at the moment, although I have 4 pairs here which I’m plucking up the courage to list in my folksy or etsy shops. Not entirely sure what is stopping me, maybe the thought of deciding what to write as a description, being indecisive about pricing and being a bit scared of feeling like a failure if they don’t sell. Sounds a bit silly once written down, but they take so long to make and are a new challenge to me and the relative safety of my sketchbook. If I don’t sell many cards then it doesn’t feel quite as bad (although I obviously want them to do well) as they are much quicker for me to make and I can get my pen and paper out wherever and whenever and still have sketchbooks upon sketchbooks to flick through at the end. I have invested so many evenings and weekends into my little shoes – let’s hope they succeed.

Another day, another week so maybe it’s time to take that jump.

My poor sewing machine isn’t sounding too well at the moment, which may well have something to do with the long overloaded evenings trying to perfect my baby booties, but there’s one last push to get the remaining trial pairs out. So far I’ve got about half my free pairs in the post, and have already started receiving photos and feedback, above are a few of my faves from the last week with some fab fabrics from fabric rehab and my fabric house which are my 2 current fave online fabric suppliers. It’s great to know that my products are being tested to their limit before I launch them and I will know with confidence that they are as good as I can make them when they go on sale, so watch this space.

But all this sewing is hard work so bedtime now – sleep well.
